Relay specialises in the design and installation of complex electrical systems. Our experienced teams manage projects from concept through to engineered solution, working to the scheduling and budget requirements of our clients.

With our experienced and flexible workforce, we have the ability to mobilise specialist teams on a scheduled or immediate basis to any location, be it onshore, offshore, or at sea. Our work force can provide and install full electrical solutions on any vessel, platform, structure or building across the world.

We perform a wide range of Electrical Engineering services according to client requirements, from small electrical repairs through to complex new installations. 

What we offer

All our electrical services can be designed and installed to client specification as a turnkey project.

We install cables on naval vessels, commercial vessels and oil and gas platforms. Cable management systems are designed and installed with bulkhead penetrations, tailored for water and gas protection. Cables are all banded to management systems with steel bands to ensure security in the case of fire. Cabling services include:

  • Heavy power distribution

  •  LV power distribution

  • Data cabling

  • Loop checking and certification

We offer a full switchboard service from design and manufacture to installation. Switchboard Circuit breaker testing is available to our clients, using primary and secondary current injection test sets to confirm the correct operation of these safety critical components. In addition, bus bar testing and thermal surveys ensure that hot spots are identified allowing us to rectify as required, removing fire risks from client assets.

 Control Panels are designed, manufactured and tested within our own Control Panel workshop facilities, located at our main premises. Control Panels are manufactured to meet the requirements of a wide range of applications and a fully factory tested before dispatch.

Fire and gas systems for the protection of personnel and assets can be installed in line with current standards and to client specifications. These can be integrated with general alarm and security systems.

Relay offer specialist fibre optic network installations which are installed using traditional Cat6 copper cable methods or fibre optic solutions.

 We offer a broad range of fibre optic services according to client requirements including:

  • Fibre splicing

  • Fibre patching

Complex CCTV systems are designed and installed by our team for property security and access control. Cameras can be installed at high level on building structures or independent masts.

 With a proven track record across over 50 drilling rigs in the Middle East (and projects in Singapore, Egypt, and other locations), Relay brings together experienced installation teams, IRATA certified Rope Access and E&I technicians, and endtoend service from design through to system handover. Whether onshore or offshore, we are equipped and ready to meet demanding site requirements.

 Our camera systems are specifically designed for hazardous, corrosive, and explosive environments found on rigs, vessels, machinery rooms, and external decks. They are built to withstand high salt exposure, extreme temperatures, and corrosive atmospheres while maintaining reliable image quality and operational integrity.

To further strengthen safety, our surveillance systems are integrated with artificial intelligence for real‑time safety monitoring, incident detection, and access control. Clients also benefit from remote monitoring capabilities, allowing secure real‑time feed access from land‑based control rooms, improving response times and overall oversight.

 All products supplied by Relay are subject to strict quality control, environmental, and safety standards. They comply with international testing and certification regimes and are suitable for explosion‑proof (zone rated) deployments in marine, offshore oil & gas, drilling rig, and industrialhazardous settings.

Reliable Signal Amplification for Marine, Oil & Gas, and Drilling Rig Environments

Relay is proud to offer advanced Mobile Booster Systems designed specifically for marine, oil & gas, and drilling rig operations. These systems ensure strong, reliable connectivity even in the most remote, harsh environments, helping to improve operational communications, safety, and data flows.

 Relay has successfully installed these mobile signal amplification systems on over 30 offshore drilling rigs and vessels, delivering enhanced coverage and dependable performance across decks, accommodation modules, and control rooms.   These booster systems are engineered to amplify mobile signal bands (including newer generation 5G and 4G services), and support multiple operators simultaneously. OEM design ensures compliance with stringent communications and safety regulations, and they come with long warranty periods for peace of mind. Remote monitoring tools are integrated, allowing access to system status and signal performance from land‑based control rooms, so you can manage signal integrity and detect issues proactively.

 All installations are handled by our qualified teams, using best practices for site survey, system design, and installation, both offshore and onshore. The booster systems are built to resist corrosive marine environments, extreme climates, salt spray, and heavy vibration, while continuing to deliver clear, amplified signal where it’s needed most.
